Why We Use Fixed Fees

We believe you should know exactly what you are paying before you commit to anything.

No surprises

Your fee is agreed and confirmed in writing before any work begins. We will not charge more unless the scope of work changes significantly — and we will always discuss this with you first.

Full transparency

We explain exactly what is included in your fee and what disbursements (third-party costs) you should expect. Nothing is hidden.

Fair pricing

Our fees reflect the complexity of your matter — not the value of your estate. A straightforward will costs the same whether your estate is worth £100,000 or £1 million.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fees

How much does a will cost at PDA Law?

A straightforward single will costs from £295–£450 including VAT. Mirror wills for a couple cost from £450–£700 including VAT. If you need a trust will (for example, to protect your share of the family home), costs are higher — from £600–£1,200 for a single trust will, or £1,200–£2,400 for mirror trust wills for a couple. We always confirm costs in writing before any work begins.

How much does probate cost?

Our fees for a grant-only probate service start from £1,500–£2,500 including VAT. Full estate administration (where we handle everything) starts from £3,000–£6,000 for a straightforward estate. Complex estates are priced individually. The Probate Registry fee is £300 (for estates over £5,000) — this is a disbursement paid to the court, not our fee.

How much does an LPA cost?

Our professional fees for a single LPA start from £550–£750 including VAT. Both LPAs for one person (Property & Financial Affairs and Health & Welfare) cost from £900–£1,200. Both LPAs for a couple (four LPAs in total) cost from £1,600–£2,200. The OPGA registration fee of £82 per LPA is additional — this is paid to the Office of the Public Guardian.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. We provide a fixed fee quote before any work begins, and we will not charge more than the agreed fee unless the scope of work changes significantly. We will always tell you about any disbursements (third-party costs such as court fees and registration fees) upfront.

Do you offer no win no fee for will disputes?

Yes — we offer conditional fee arrangements (no win no fee) for suitable Inheritance Act claims and will disputes. We will assess your case and advise on funding options at the outset.

Can I get a fixed fee quote?

Yes — we provide fixed fee quotes for all our wills, trusts, LPA, and probate services. Contact us on 01244 757352 or complete the enquiry form below and we will provide a no-obligation quote.
