Dispute Resolution Law in Wales — The Same Rights as England

Civil and commercial dispute resolution law is not devolved to the Welsh Government. The Limitation Act 1980, Civil Procedure Rules, and the court system apply equally across England and Wales. If you have a dispute in Wrexham, Flintshire, Deeside or anywhere in North Wales, you have exactly the same legal rights and remedies as someone in Chester, Manchester or London.

Civil court proceedings for North Wales clients are typically heard at the County Court in Wrexham or Chester, depending on the nature and value of the claim. The same rules, time limits and procedures apply as in England.

We advise North Wales clients on all dispute resolution matters — from mediation and contractual disputes to full litigation. Our Chester office is easily accessible from North Wales via the A55 and A483, and we offer a full remote service by phone, video call and email.
